Being faced with a lot of uncertainty tends to make me feel all sorts of blue. Part of me had the urge to express this visually, so I pulled together some of my bluest photos from the past few months.
Lately I’ve taken to experimenting with lights. I’ve always been fascinated by how light can be photographed. What has captured my attention recently is how mood can be created depending on the warmth and tone of light.
“Next time,” are two words that build hope, even in their futility. They’re a veiled promise that someone likes you enough to want you in their life. Yet sometimes, these words seem more like the distant lights on the horizon at sea.
Night can be anything you want it to be. It’s so full of untapped possibilities, it’s no wonder creative souls often also are night owls. Lights out of focus can be so imprecise, yet so beautiful; perfect to draw inspiration from.
The moon has always fascinated me. It has no energy of its own to create light and yet it can shine so bright at night. And while the moon can be visible by day, the sun is only visible by night during long winter nights near the North and South Poles.
